This painting is an homage to my childhood self and all the wonder and dreams she had. As she gazes beyond the wooden panel and towards me, it is comforting. Almost as if she is telling me that I will be ok despite my anxieties toward the future. As a token of my appreciation to my childhood, I can wholeheartedly gaze back and tell her, thank you.
