In this piece, I depict the human inclination to hide our emotions with the use of a mask physically and figuratively. Facing the aftermath of the pandemic, many of us use face masks as a safe space; a means to hide the feelings and stories we tell through our noses and mouths. Figuratively, this aspect of a mask represents our day to day efforts as human beings to appear composed and hide our inner turmoils. Each of the human faces depicted represent the many expressions and emotions we withhold others from seeing in our daily lives.
